Jamie Jones, M.Ed, NCC, LPC-S is the Program Director for The New Orleans Institute for Trauma and Compulsive Behaviors at River Oaks Hospital. She received her master’s degree from the University of New Orleans and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. Mrs. Jones has been a member of the treatment team at River Oaks Hospital since 2001. She specializes in both inpatient and outpatient treatment of individuals presenting the eating disorders, trauma-based disorders, and compulsive behaviors.

Mrs. Jones has a long history of presenting presentations nationwide on the topics of trauma, compulsive behaviors and eating disorders rooted in trauma. She has also worked with military bases around the country, assisting them with providing treatment of active-duty service members and veterans.

Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Hawkins is a clinical psychologist and is the Chief Executive Officer at Center for Change. She is a specialist in eating disorders and body image and has provided clinical expertise at Center for Change since 1999. Dr. Hawkins developed a comprehensive body image program that focuses on the media, diet industry, plastic surgery, childhood issues, and learning to appreciate one’s body, and she leads these groups for the Inpatient and Residential patients at Center for Change. She is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (Supervisor), has published several articles, and presents regularly at national and regional conferences.

Director of the Eating Disorder Program and Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Mishell Hashmi is the Director of the Eating Disorder program and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University in 2007. She has extensive experience working with eating disorders in Residential, PHP, IOP and outpatient settings. Dr. Hashmi uses an integrated approach and is experienced in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Dr. Hashmi has also completed training in Family Based Therapy (FBT) for eating disorders, Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Dr. Hashmi enjoys working with teenagers and adults. She also has extensive experience working with individuals with self-injury, trauma, mood disorders and transgender issues. She is a member of the board for the Missouri Eating Disorder Association (MOEDA).

Lead Dietitian
Marie Robles is a registered and licensed dietitian with over a decade of experience at River Oaks Eating Disorder Treatment Center, where she serves as the Lead Dietitian. Specializing in eating disorders and disordered eating, Marie earned her Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDS) credentials in 2020 and was the first in Louisiana to achieve this distinction. She is passionate about working with individuals of all ages and takes pride in collaborating with a dedicated team to provide exceptional care. Marie holds a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics from Mississippi State University and completed her dietetic training at Saint Louis University.

Director of Inpatient and Residential Services
Anna Governale completed her undergraduate degrees in psychology and religious studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2002. She subsequently began working in the mental health field as a mental health worker at a residential treatment center for eating disorders for 5 years, while acquiring her master’s degree in clinical psychology. Anna completed her master’s program at Antioch University, Los Angeles. After graduating, Anna began working at a community services agency, serving underprivileged communities in the inner cities of Los Angeles, providing in home services to children, adolescents and families. After gaining experience working with this diverse population for 3 1/2 years, Ms. Governale realized that working with eating disorders was her true calling and something she was genuinely passionate about. Anna began working for Reasons in May of 2011 as a program therapist, and has also served as interim program manager for the partial and intensive outpatient programs. She is currently the program manager for Reasons inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient programs at BHC Alhambra Hospital. She is DBT trained, and pulls from a variety of therapeutic orientations in her work with clients to assist them in their journey to wholeness and healing.
